Job Description: Our client specialises in the research, development and manufacture of innovative, high quality, immunodiagnostic assays in the fields of multiple myeloma (and other B cell disorders) and investigation of the immune response. A vacancy has arisen in the West Midlands for an International Product specialist to assist in the Marketing Department. The role will include a range of marketing responsibilities across the product range with core responsibilities being:-


• Preparation of promotional materials under guidance of Marketing Manager.
• Liaison with Technical Service Department in support of customer satisfaction.
• Liaison with Regulatory Affairs manager to ensure materials comply with required regulations.
• Liaison with Scientific Affairs Managers to ensure commercial tools are scientifically accurate.
• Liaison with production departments in support of management of product supply.
• Liaison with R&D departments regarding pipeline products.
• Liaison with partner companies under direct guidance of Marketing Manager.
• Involvement in New Product Development.
• Production of sales tools including competitor product analyses, publication summaries, Professional Selling Skills Grid and training materials including launch pack materials
• Training of sales, specialists and distributors’ staff
• Attend international exhibitions and meetings
• Involvement in the organisation of UK and International customer events
• Involvement in UK and International e/mailing, ad campaigns and other promotional campaigns
• Contribute to distributor conference and international symposia
• Marketing Projects as agreed with Marketing Manager
• Responsibility for e-news content
• Management and electronic filing of key reference papers


Essential Skills:
Biology background, biochemistry or immunology an advantage
Good understanding of the diagnostic market ideal – life science market acceptable
Organised and structured approach to work
Flexible mindset
Well developed written and verbal communication skills
Good presentation skills
Capable of making decisions under pressure
Computer literate
Team worker
Able to travel freely internationally and spend up to 30% time away from home
Driving Licence

Desirable:
Minimum of 1 year’s Clinical Laboratory experience an advantage
Minimum 2 years technical product marketing
New product development marketing experience
Experience of product launches
Sales experience a distinct advantage
International experience in a commercial role
Project management experience


Salary: £17 – 23,000 + package

Location: West Midlands
