Job Description: My client supplies laboratory equipment including Pure water systems, autoclaves, centrifuges, incubators and safety cabinets. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced field service engineer to join the team and be responsible for installations and service of equipment in the Midlands and East Anglia. An estate car is provided and there is an on-call rota and weekend rota.
Essential Skills: Electrical/ mechanical engineering qualification. Experience of servicing laboratory equipment. It is essential that you are happy and able to work on call at some weekends and to be able to travel within the territory/
Salary: £22 – 27,000 basic + overtime + bonuses
Location: Ideally Northampton area for access to motorway network.

Job Description: Our client has a new position for a UK Service Manager. Responsible, through a European reporting structure within service, for delivering all the activities supporting the installation, modification and repair on customer instruments, carried out on customer site and workshop in UK. Working to the escalation process back to North European Service Manager. Key to this role is managing through development the Local service staff, ensuring both Service revenue and Opex for UK is driven to achieve maximum potential and meet the set targets.
The role will provide a single point of contact (Funnel) acting as the UK Service Manager with responsibility for the day to day Instrument and workshop service operation as described below. The role will act as an interface between Local Service, Sales, and Finance staff across UK. Key to the role is managing the delivery of customer satisfaction to both internal and external staff the former through agreed and documented SLA’s.
Representing Instrument service as representative of one of the three countries that make up Northern Europe (Nordic, Israel, UK). You will be as part of that NE team responsible for delivering new ideas, initiatives and activities that drive standardisation and improved effectiveness and efficiency for both the Business and the Customer.
Key to the success of the role is the ability to maintain the identity of individual staff while establishing a single standardised European way for instrument service and support.
Essential Skills: Candidates should have demonstrable UK service management experience within a Medical devices company, a proven track record of success in programs assosiated with Staff and Instrument performance aligned to quantifiable measures. A track record of achieving change and turning words into action ideally with Finance indicators and Customer satisfaction measures.
Salary: Approx £45,000 + package
Location: Hemel Hempstead but with travel
