UK sales - molecular biology research

An exciting opportunity to represent a new company.
Job Description: Our client is a Belgian biotech company founded in 2003. They specialise in producing equipment, kits, reagents and anti-bodies for molecular biology research. There are 2 main areas: Epigenetics and Molecular diagnostics and our client is at the forefront of research in these areas. After extra-ordinary growth in sales on the continent and in the US, our client seeks to appoint a talented sales professional to be the first representative in the UK. This role will focus on sales to academic research in epigenetics (80% of customers) with some industrial accounts. It is hoped that in time this first UK representative will become the UK sales manager and employ more staff.
Obviously extensive travel is required throughout the UK and Ireland for customer visits and to attend exhibitions.

Essential Skills: BSc life sciences with molecular biology lab experience. At least 2 years scientific sales within the molecular biology/ genetics sector

Salary: Circa £30,000 basic + £10,000 comm + package

Location: Central to cover UK and Ireland

Job Description: Our client is looking to appoint an experienced salesperson to sell their range of haematology and clinical chemistry analysers to hospital laboratories in the Midlands and Wales.

Essential Skills: Candidates should be a people oriented individual capable of building strong customer relationships. Should be tenacious & determined and exhibit a positive “can do” attitude. Must be capable of working as part of a team. Willing to continuously develop & keep skills up to date. Have a working knowledge of NHS structures and the buying process. Biomedical sciences background. Scientific sales experience is essential, ideally with capital goods.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience up to £35,000 Basic + commission

Job Description: Our client is a personalised medicine company providing molecular diagnostics to aid doctors and drug companies in selecting therapies for patients. The company offers products, technology and services to the healthcare industry to enable the delivery of safe and effective medicines. Predominantly in the field of cancer they have a range of companion diagnostic and research kits that detect mutations in oncogenes associated with cancer drug responses.
A new vacancy has arisen for a Product Manager to be responsible for the product portfolio of tumour mutation analysis products in this high-value and rapidly growing market. Responsibilities include:
Devise and implement marketing strategies
Strategic planning for the business, providing a thorough understanding of product portfolio and opportunities.
Analyze and segment various global markets to determine market opportunities, competitive positioning, product attributes, pricing and sales forecasts
Serve as the product champion, ensuring product performance meets expectations and explore ways for continuous improvement and market adoption
Conduct market research on new product opportunities and work with R&D on product evolution and next generation applications.
Contribute to corporate marketing goals and revenue targets by actively supporting the commercial team through lead generation and visits/presentations to customers
Preparation and delivery of training materials, technical information, sales presentations, running wet workshops, technical support etc.
Provide input to the Marketing Manager on marketing literature and contribute to web content.


Essential Skills:
The successful candidate should have a minimum of a BSc degree in the Life Sciences. Ideally a minimum of 3 years of experience in product management in clinical diagnostics. A laboratory background, specifically with experience in molecular biology including real time PCR consequently able to relate to customers at a high technical level. Successful sales track record (> 3 years) working with diagnostic laboratories, specifically molecular biology and molecular pathology, and a strong key account knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry. 􀂉 Preferably experience in supporting distributors. Strong presentation, analytical and customer service skills


Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Location: Manchester

Essential Skills: Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a successful track record in sales of capital equipment.
