Job Description: A new opportunity has arisen with our client, one of the main companies in clinical diagnostics. The role is for an account manager in a south east England territory which includes East Anglia, to West of the M25, the home counties and to the south coast. Customers will be NHS and private hospital laboratories.
The clinical diagnostic market is highly competitive requiring a mix of sales skills, interpersonal skills and structured planning. The role of the account manager is pivotal in maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction which requires close communication with customer support personnel. Multi level account management activities and participation in project teams will maximize and broaden the business potential in all existing accounts in addition developing third party accounts and gaining new business via competitive displacement.
Essential Skills: Candidates will need a track record in sales to the NHS PCTs, ideally capital equipment or point of care. The product emphasis is clinical chemistry however specialist knowledge is not necessary. The main experience required is that of selling business solutions.
Salary: £38 – 42,000 basic + 50% bonus + package
Location: South East
