Job Description: A position of Life Science Sales Specialist has become available within a major life science organization. This provides an exciting opportunity to join a team of sales and marketing specialists with major focus on the Life Science business segment. Sales focus will be upon selling leading edge Life Science products to researchers, interacting directly with end-users.
This position requires:
· Working closely as part of a business team the individual will report directly to the National Field Sales Manager on a day-to-day basis.
Management of Life Science Sales in Scotland attending postcodes AB, DD, DG, DH, EH, FK, G, HS, IV, KA, KW, KY, ML, NE, PA, PH, SR, TD, TS.
· Selling directly to research scientists and end-users that utilize Life Science products specifically in the areas of Functional Genomics, Custom Genomics, Proteomics, Protein Expression and Molecular Biology.
Essential Skills: Ideally, the individual will have the following qualifications and experience:
Educated to Ph.D. level in a Life Science (B.Sc. may also be considered).
Minimum two years direct selling experience within the biotech industry focused upon high technology research products including Functional Genomics (RNAi, QPCR, protein array technologies) and Proteomics (protein expression and analysis).
A proven track record of exceptional sales results with a strong ability to communicate and produce business solutions for customers. Being able to demonstrate creativity and innovation
A proven ability to map and plan activities, devising and executing business plans.
The ability to deliver technical and commercial presentations.
Evidence of an active team player approach.
The personality, drive and enthusiasm to succeed and achieve in this challenging position.
Salary: £32,000 basic negotiable depending on experience
Location: Scotland
